As I spoke about the may mental health
month last time. The posts are to uplift women and make them feel positive
about themselves using beauty and fashion like a therapy. The second post is
about giving yourself a surprise every month. We often wish we have someone
giving us a surprise or gift and is ultimately the need to be pampered and
loved. Well i ofcourse cant convince family and
friends to do so, but you can do that by yourself by surprising yourself
every month with these surprise box concept. So all you have to do is subscribe
by ordering the monthly box and its like a gift to yourself as you dont know
what goodies you might get.
I got the oppurtunity of collaborating with blush
boxx who have amazing beauty products presented beautifully in their box. I
didnt know what i would get and that excitement was thrilling. I recieved 5
interesting products all different which are also weather apt and can be used
in summer and thats how they plan their boxes based on a theme like valentines
or weather etc. Its a nice option to explore indian products and pamper yourself.
It is a cool option for gifting as well. The prices of each box vary but are
usually between Rs 500- Rs600 which is quite a good price for the products as
if you would buy them separately, you would be paying much more. Below are the
products that I received for the month of May.
1. LASS NATURALS SUNSCREEN HYDRO
GEL
The first product us lass naturals
sunscreen hydro gel. It has a spf of 50 and gives sun protection from sensitive
to oily skin. The product also has natural substances like rose water and aloe
vera. It comes in a handy bottle that can fit into your bag and has a pumping
method. The fragrance is light floral powder like and wasnt sticky at all upon
application. Infact it didn't feel like I have even applied anything. So women
out there, dont let the sun make you stay at home, apply some and go out and
enjoy the sun.
PLUMP PEPPERMINT SUGAR SCRUB
I have
previously posted about DIY lip scrub consisting of sugar. Now in the blush
boxx i recieved a sugar based foot scrub and i was quite excited to use it
since I enjoy sugar based scrubs. The good thing about this product is that it
is completely organic and natural. The ingredients of the product is organic
sugar, olive oil, peppermint essential oil and mint leaves. It has no parabens
or sulphates. You have to simply apply it , scrub it and wash it off and it
leaves you with soft and clean feet. It doesnt have a strong fragrance and has
a pretty light fluorescent green colour that would rather make you want to eat
it (please dont). But surely its an amazing way to pamper your feet after a
tiring day and all the weight that you give to your feet. And not to forget the
torture your feet go through after wearing heels. It is also known to be anti
bacterial and anti fungal and cures cracked heels as well as foot aches.
3. KROONOKARE SHOWER GEL
This shower gel
consists of spices of Rajasthan. They are talking about the ingredients that
the rajputs or the royals of Rajasthan used for bath. It consists of sweet and
spicy notes of vanilla and spices. They have not mentioned the ingredients here
maybe because they want to keep it a secret but the product does mention that
it is free of sulphate, parabens, silicone and mineral oil. To be honest, i am
not personally a fan of the fragnance as its quite powerful and spicy like
which rather reminds me of food than bath time. But if you want to feel like a
Rajput queen, try it out and explore the ancient feel of Rajasthan.
GLAMISHA FACE
LIFT CREAM
This is like the
highlight of the box. It is a face lift cream that consists vitamin E and is
free from parabens. Im impressed with the quantity as they have offered a 100gm
bottle which will last for a long time. The cream is suitable for both day and
night time. Dont forget to wash your face before use and apply it in a
massaging motion. It is almost fragnance free and is non oily more like a water
based product. The fact that it is face lifting is yet to be known since i have
just started using the cream. It is supposed to be anti wrinkle and to give a
younger skin.
SEA SOUL PURE PORE SERIES
So this product might look
small but as they say big surprises come in small sizes. Sea soul is an company
based in India but has products designed in Australia . This is a skin
lightening series of five products that is a one time use. It is meant for oily
or acne prone skin and is a full facial kit. It consists of step by step range
of products in sachets. The first is a face cleanser which should be applied
for 5 minutes and cleaned using warm cotton pad. The second is gel toner which
is supposed to be massaged for 5 minutes and then wash it with warm water. The
third is the yummy sounding coco coffee scrub which has to be massaged for 10
minutes. The fourth is mint massage cream to moisturise and the last step is to
apply the mint mask for 5-7 mins and there it is.. done. It is known to clean
the clean the pores and removes tan.
