Zodiac look - Pisces!

Prudent Diva Presents to you the look for Pisces Zodiac sign. Firstly wishing all my Pisces readers a very Happy Birthday! A little good news for you - We are offering a discount of 15% to the Pisces shoppers who place an order online.
About the Pisces people out there, You are the real romantics!
They love love, and love falling in love. They are very helpful and supportive. When they have a friend in need, they usually stop what they are doing to run to their friends rescue. They are very compassionate and sensitive to the needs of others. That’s probably why many people say they make great lovers and companions. Pisces are known to be very mysterious and elusive.
They like to keep their friends and loved ones guessing about their next move. They are creative; they are usually musicians, writers, and artists. Pisces are very passionate and love to express their emotions to the people who matter most in their lives.

The pisces women love the colour blue in their for the obvious reason, Pisces is a water sign and denote a fish. So the shades of blue and green are the best suited and preferred shades. They love Sea green, lavender, pink, and pastel blues. They are romantics and their clothes show it. They like to wear soft, delicate, feminine styles

Pisces fashion sense is all about frills, layers, satins and elegance, which makes them drawn to flowy, feminine and delicate styles. Fish girls embrace creativity and are always searching for unique and artsy accessories. Thus I chose a flowy gown with the delicate shades of blue. When it comes to accessories for the Pisces woman, the possibilities are endless. She usually loves silver, gold and diamonds. For an everyday look, she will probably wear dangling earrings, with just a touch of color or a lot of blue.

She loves bangles and bracelets and knows that less is more. That’s why you will probably catch her wearing a one-of a- kind bangle or cuff. When it comes to jewelry and accessories, the Pisces loves lots and lots of color. Think of the sea when you think of Pisces woman Therefore, I added the dangling earrings and a bracelet to add to the look.

Pisces makeup obviously had to be a semi mermaid fish look. I loved experimenting the make up and enjoyed adding glitter and shine to the look. Your colors of choice are usually blue, sea green and hot pink. You are very versatile with your style. You can wear chandelier earrings, or hoops, you like different styles and dress according to your mood. Thus i felt while eyes can be blue, the lips had to have a tinge of magenta. For my make up look I used a lot of shimmer shades because I think that is what defines a pisces. The emeralds ,saphires, jade green, turquoise, the shades so powerful yet decent. I wanted to include each one of them!

For my make up look, Here are the products that I have used
For my face
Sephora primer
Maybelline foundation and concealer
Stila illuminator
Sephora highlighter
Incolor baked highlighter

For my eyes
Faces glitter set in blue
PAC eyeshadow pallete
NYX jumbo eyepencil in milk
Miss claire eyeshadow pallete
Silver eye pencil by VOV
Maybelline colosal kajal
For the lips
Loreal sexy lipbalm in 202 adventure
Faces glitter in silver
For the body
Local body glitter and nail art glitter
As long as you're expressing an emotionally sensitive attitude that conveys depth and compassion, your fashion choices will work. You can cast quite a spell with your zodiac fashion style, and channel mystery, magic and a lot of glamour! As Pisces ruler, the positions of imaginative Neptune and adaptable Jupiter in the chart are important.

Beauty product review - Activated charcoal powder

Today ill be reviewing about one of my secret beauty product. It may look weird and unusual but the results make the skin look clear, bright and pimple free.
I will be reviewing the charcoal powder and will be also giving you some ideas and ways to use it.
There are charcoal powders available of many companies. They also come as ready made face pack or wash but i prefer the pure powder form so that one can make their pack according to the need. While buying charcoal powder make sure you go for activated charcoal powder.
Let me also clearify, charcoal powder is different from mud, multani mitti, clay powder etc. This is pure black in colour.
Dont get afraid of the thought of applying black powder on your skin, it washes away completely taking away the dirt and oil. Infact people also use it for their teeth and some also consume it.
A charcoal powder mask shouldnt be used everyday as it might take away the essential moisture of your skin, it is best to use it 2-3 times a week maximum. I personally use this once a week and other time I put a mask from various companies.
Charcoal powder is best suitable for oily skin, skin that is prone to acne, blackhead and blemish but it can also be put in other face packs to clear the skin.

A few questions about charcoal powder...
What does activated charcoal powder actually do?
Activated charcoal draws bacteria, poisons, chemicals, dirt and other micro-particles to the surface of skin, helping you to achieve a flawless complexion and fight acne.

How will charcoal powder help the skin?

Throughout the day, toxins from the world around us clog our pores. When your pores aren't clear, neither is your complexion. Activated charcoal'when used in a face mask'binds to and helps pull the dirt out of your pores, making them less visible

Is charcoal powder safe for the skin?

Yes! As long as you use it correctly, activated charcoal powders are a safe, affordable and effective way to eliminate toxins. That's because they mop up substances that can not only harm your health, but also lead to skin problems such as acne, dehydration, inflammation and even aging

Is charcoal powder meant for dry skin?

Absolutely! It all depends on the way you make your mask. You can mix natural ingredients to make the perfect mask.

I use all natural ingredients to make the mask. Since I have a oily and acne prone skin I use the following

Aloe vera juice, Crushed neem, A pinch of haldi (tumeric) and charcoal powder. Make it in the form of a paste and apply using brush over face and neck avoiding the eyes and lips.
Leave it for 15-20 mins and wash using luke warm water.

Other ways to try
For dry skin,
Olive oil, coconut oil, charcoal powder into a thick paste and wash with luke warm water after 15-20 mins

Make your own mask

Use ingredients that you have/like and make your own version
For oily skin
Yoghurt, amla juice, cucumber paste, multani mitti, rose water
For dry skin
Honey, mashed banana, vitamin e, coconut milk
For acne, pimples, blackhead etc
Neem-tulsi paste, aloevera gel, rose water, rice water, black tea or coffee (no sugar room temprature), oatmeal, lemon juice

I use healthvit activated charcoal powder that I purchased from amazon.in

Valentines day makeup

Wishing all my readers a very Happy Valentines Day!
So I did a little valentines day inspired make up look today, but more than just doing a beauty look, I want these images to portray self-love for valentines. For all the lovely women out there, dont stay home waiting for your partner to make your day special, I understand it makes us all feel pampered and special, but get up and dress up, cause there is nothing more important than loving yourselves. Make each day valentines by gifting yourself confidence. say to yourself that you are beautiful every moment. Gift yourself the power of believing in yourself. You can do anything you desire to and lastly gift yourself a feeling to love yourself. Pamper yourself - Love makeup? get yourself a new product. Its not about if its expensive, its about making yourself feel worthy.
And I want this to apply for all my male readers too... Go and pamper yourself boys!
We all love some attention , love and support, but if you wont love yourself, how will you get all that?

Coming back to my make up look, I experimented a little today. Usually red on the eyes is not my thing (but hey I got to believe in myself right!) so I tried these little heart addition too... I know its a little crazy

For my eyes
Nicka K eyeshadow pallete (Glitter)
Faces glitter in pink
Red liquid lipstick for the heart
Maybelline eye liner, kajal and mascara
I made the heart using a minute brush and painted it in the shape and then gave a outline with black eyeliner.

For my lips

Faces glitter in pink

For the face
Maybelline foundation in ivory
Sephora blush in deep red

Hope you had a wonderful day!

DIY - Lip scrub

After all the dry, matte and long staying lip products, our lips ask for the restore of our moisture. Just like we do our skin care, it is necessary for us to even have lip care in our routine. After a search of good products for lips, I came to a conclusion that DIY lip scrub is the best thing you can do for your lips. Its super easy to make and even more easy to use. Before sleeping, I do my little lip care routine and that makes me ready for the next day where I put my usual lipsticks.

To make your lip scrub
You need
~ Vaseline
~ Olive oil
~ Sugar (granulated)
~ Strawberry/cocoa powder/ berries (optional)

Steps
melt some vaseline (either microvawe 7-10 secs or put water in a vessel on stove and melt using a smaller cup placed inside the vessel)
Pour in some olive oil
The ratio of olive oil can be as much as the vaseline
Add in granulated sugar (about twice the vaseline + olive oil content)
Add in a little bit of fresh strawberry juice or cocoa powder to add in some flavour (optional)
Keep it in the fridge until it has set and its ready to use

How to use
Clean your lipstick with a make up remover and wipe it with water
Take appropriate amount of scrub and rub it with your fingers on the lips, You can use a mild brush too. Do this for about 2-4 mins and then wash it.
Apply your favourite lip balm and you are done.

Enjoy!

L'Oreal - Balmain limited edition lipstick - Rebellion (Blue)

L'Oreal along with the popular brand Balmain have come up with limited edition lipsticks in India. Its nice that finally make up brands are launching some exclusive , unique and crazy lipshades. One could only get such shades in Nyx, Inglot, mac and some not so famous companies. Revlon first came up with them, then maybelline and now we have L'Oreal with the limited edition lipsticks.
There are colours ranging in bright and dark purples, deep browns, unique nudes, blues and green. To me, the blue shade caught my attention the most simply because I already have a similar purple from mac (heroine) and also the latest lakme masaba collection purple. While browns and nudes are the usual and green is not really my colour, I went for the blue. Another reason to get this blue is because this can be teamed up with denims.
I remember as a child, while colouring, I always imagined how it would be if my crayons turn into lip shades and thats exactly what loreal has come up with.

So talking about the blue shade, the shade is called Rebellion and is a shade between royal blue and navy. It says it is color riche matte lipstick which is true but it also has a crayon like dry feel so I suggest applying lipbalm before applying. A proper outline is required since the colour is bright and therefore needs the right shape.
The packaging is of 3.9 grams in a fancy blue design. The lipstick looks like a designer piece in itself and stands out especially amongst the dull black and silver lipsticks.
The price is Rs 1050/- which I believe is okay since that is the range of L'Oreal products. Infact i expected it to be much more.
To buy here, Click below...

My take on the product - Buy it only if you want to experiment with colours like blue, green and bright purples or deep purples. Apply light gloss or lipbalm so that the crayon feel goes. I am mentioning this again as the problem that comes is the wrinkles of lips make it look chalky and messy.
Rating - 7/10 (but for the unique shades - 9/10)

For this make up look, I have used the following,
For face
Sephora primer
Maybelline foundation in ivory
Blush - In color baked
Illuminator - Make up revolution in champagne

For eyes
PAC eye shadow kit - Used ochre yellow, gold , royal blue shades
Royal blue eye liner - Meylin
Black eye liner - Maybelline
Mascara - Maybelline
Colosal kajal (maybelline)

For lips
Vaseline and olive oil lip balm (made at home)
Loreal and balmain lipstick in rebellion
Local blue eye pencil as lip liner

Hope you enjoyed the post
Thank you!
