Illuminate! - Best Highlighters and strobe creams

Illuminater, Highlighter, Strobe creams in powder, cream and liquid.
The options are huge and no two products are the exact some. While some add glitter the other add a light gold tinge while the others add metallic look. What is your favourite?
I prefer something that is not too gliterry and just adds a little shine to my cheekbones and eye lids. Therefore after a lot of research, trial and error I have come up with my 2 favourites which I will be reviewing today.
The first one is
Make up revolution highlighter in starlight (pic without flash)

Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter

It is a liquid highlighter that is highly pigmented, gives a metallic shine and blends in very easily. It also has a dropper applicator which works great as you can put the exact same amount on both sides and not get too shiny on only one side of the face.
The highlighter can also be mixed into the foundation to give a natural glow.
I love applying it on the cheeks, eye lids and a little bit on the nose. I also sometimes apply it like a eyeshadow base.
The good part about it is that it has shades to chose from, while the darker shades are almost similar. The most popular shades are starlight and champagne.
The price is Rs 1050/- for 18 ml bottle which I believe is a lot since you just need a slight dab to get the look. I use starlight (In the image above) but I have also tried champagne and both are wonderful, starlight has a little more shimmer than champagne. To buy, click below

The second product that I am reviewing is
Maybelline New York Facestudio master strobing cream

So what exactly are strobe creams? Strobe literally means an electronic flash something like the camara flashing while taking a picture. This is what strobe creams are. They are intense bright flashy cream that gives you all the shine and glam you need. They are not supposed to have much glitter in them. Strobes are in trend especially since Rihanna came up with her intense highlighter in wonderfully bright shades. The good thing about the maybelline strobing cream (other than being budget friendly) is that it is available in two shades - Pinkish and Nude. I use the one with pink since my skin tone is slighly pale and so by adding a little pink it looks more bright and refreshing. Nude is very well apt for the indian skin tone. The other good thing is that there is an option of cream and a stick. I recommend the cream since it merges easily while stick can maybe give a little flaky look (depends on skin tone though).

Well lastly, if you are the one to like highlighters with glitter. You can get yourself the make up obsesion strobe balm. It is a cream base with wonderful silver tiny glitters. When I wish to add in glitter I add this on the top of my highlighter/strober
Price - Rs 500/-

Other products that are on the higher side that I use are stilla illuminator, Baked powder highlighter in gold by sephora and benefit girl meets pearl. They are all available at sephora.

Cheers!
