National Lipstick Day

29th July is known as the National Lipstick Day and therefore I decided to create a little post on something related on lipsticks. I decided to create a post on one of the most exquisite lipsticks that I have. They are the most unique, beautifully packaged and my favourite lipsticks. Lets have a look at them.

To begin with, is this beautiful velvet packaged loreal lipstick from the red carpet collection from Cannes
Shade- 999 Red carpet
Its a perfect classy maroon that goes well with traditional as well as modern wear. Isnt the packaging lovely!

The second one is by Clinique. It is a deep wine shade with gloss. It is like a heavy lipstick gloss that stays for an amazing amount of time.
Shade- 03 candied apple pop
Its a super classy shade, dark, rich and glossy!

I am in love with the packaging of these lipsticks. They are a statement in itself
The lipstick is by Bharat and Dorris a brand that i will be reviewing soon on my blog. The shade is dark but not that dark that it can't be worn on a daily basis. It is different and unique!
Shade - vintage love

I love purple lipsticks. And about 2 years back i wanted the perfect bright purple colour in my collection but then at that time the only brand to have it was mac. No doubts right!
And its one of the most famous shades. Worn by many celebs like Rihanna is this bright purple shade called Heroine. Its a matte bright perfect purple that can accentuate any look with a purple pop of colour...

And now comes my favourite without no doubt because of the name and that is a lipstick by my very own name Naomi
Its a vintage rose shade, very soft like a nude pink shade in matte look. A very natural and shade that can be worn with any outfit. Infact ill say do go buy this shade, Naomi by Loreal.

Thats all for today
Happy Lipstick Day Divas

Cancer zodiac sign look

Cancer zodiac sign is known as the sign of introverts. Like the water it represents, Cancerians flow and adapt to their surroundings. Cancerians are deeply emotional and sensitive, and often feel a close connection to people and places they know well. Personality-wise, they may seem to have a tough outer shell that protects them, but inside they're real softies!

In general, Cancerians love luxury and stability but they also crave comfort and familiarity. Of all the 12 Zodiac signs, Cancerians are considered to be the biggest homebodies and the biggest romantics
The crab sign are known to dress on the basis of their mood and love to try out new trends but only if they wish to. Cancerians love to create outfit with many layers. Therefore I tried to create an outfit with a layered look.
Cancerians love feminine outfits and have some feminine touch in every outfit they wear. Therefore, I added a touch of pink in my outfit. Cancerians love brands and classy wear. They believe in quality rather than quantity.

Those born under this sign usually resist taking risks, so they are always careful to choose the right outfit for each occasion. They prefer, satin, velvet, linen, basically all the rich fabrics. Cancerians also love stripes, shirt tops, silver, white and light shade outfits. Net, lace and embroidered fabrics also attract them.
Cancer women dress up not only based on their mood but their clothing also has sentimental value. They might be gifted or have memories attached to them. Outfits are usually soft, elegant and vintage.

In accessories, Cancerians like pearl and elegant stones. A stylish designer bag is a must in an outfit of a cancer woman. Bows, vintage clips , elegant scarfs are a must have for a cancerian.
For Cancer makeup, I decided to define the zodiac sign. Therefore, I used the 2 main colours, orange - the colour of crab and blue - the water sign. And i included elements of the crab on my eyes.

For the makeup look, here are the products used

For skin
Maybelline foundation 115
Elf highlighter
LA colors blush in blush orange
Sephora bronzer

For eyes
Eyeshadow from MIB eyeshadow pallette
Turquoise eyeliner by maybelline
NYX creamy pencil in milk
Maybelline mascara

For lips
LA colors lipstick in nectarine

Hope you liked the look

5 Powder Magical Natural Face mask

We all like natural products dont we? And what we love more is when one makes their own facepack at home. Its like mixing ingredients and customizing your product to perfection. No matter how many products I buy or recieve, ultimately I love creating my own mix of face pack. My personal favourite and most useful is my 5 Powder face pack.
It consists of  mixture of 5 powders that are anti acne, anti blemish, removes blackheads and impurities and gives a clean and natural glow.

You can either make the mix of these 5 powders and store in airtight container or make it right before using it. They consist of all natural ingredients easily available. The five powders are-
1. Besan (Gramflour) - A natural ingredient used in Indian beauty by our ancestors, One of the natural source of providing protein to our skin, nourishes and cleans the skin
2. Haldi (Turmeric) - Known to heal the skin, bring a glow and fight acne
3. Multani mitti - Cools the skin, cleans it and keep skin blemish free. Also removes tan and uneven skin tone
4. Charcoal powder - Known to remove impurities, acne and blackheads
5. Neem basil and mint powder - Available by Khadi naturals known to keep skin acne free and gives a natural glow

I use this mixture atleast once a week and can be applied to face, neck, arms and underarms. I usually take 3 teaspoons of besan, 2 spoons of multani mitti and neem basil powder and 1 spoon of turmeric and charcoal powder. It is enough to use for the upper part.
The mixture can be mixed with rose water/ yoghurt/ milk/ aloe vera gel/ water. It should be kept until it dries up and then it acts like a natural scrub as well.

I use banjara's multani mitti, health vit's charcoal powder and khadi natural's neem basil and mint powder. They can be bought on amazon.in or nykaa.com
Do try out the 5 powder mix and let me know how do you find it

A to Z of beauty brands - AVON

Prudent Diva is happy to present our new series of posts on A to Z of beauty brands. We will be featuring brands with each letter to our viewers and promoting some new and unique products. And not to forget, the aim of the products being prudent, economical and easily available is our aim.
The first company we are going to start with the letter A is AVON.

Avon is cosmetics and perfume company based in United Kingdom. They are known to have representatives instead of outlets and therefore a reason why the products are affordable.
Avon is also known to provide financial independence to women through their representative system and support issues like domestic abuse, breast cancer, etc

Prudent Diva has collaborated with one of the representatives in Mumbai and have got an oppurtunity to review two popular choices for lipsticks. Therefore I am going to review two lipsticks - Simply pretty avon matte lipstick in malva and simply pretty colorbliss lipstick in pretty plum.

Avon simply pretty avon matte lipstick in malva is a darker nude shade, a shade that is not too natural and gives a perfect hint of mauve shade thats not too bold for daily wear. The lipstick is a matte lipstick so stays for a good amount of time but I found it a little to dry for my lips so would need a layer of lip balm first. The price is Rs 200/- and comes in the all new pretty packaging. Even though there are better matte lipsticks but for the price I think it is quite a good option to have

Avon simply pretty avon colourbliss lipstick in pretty plum is the second shade and my recent personal favourite. It is not a matte lipstick but has a good pigment that stays for a long time and has a natural glossy non sticking shine. The price is Rs 150/- and is a product worth having. I keep it in my purse for quick touch ups.

You should also try the deos by Avon which are again worth for the price!
